About Lovina Soenmi
I was born and raised in the city of Pekanbaru in Riau Province, Indonesia. I started my journalistic activity at the student news agency of Riau University. During the 6-and-a-half years I worked there, I became a journalist at Bahana Mahasiswa. In 2011 me and my friends formed the Riau Corruption Trial, a community corruption monitoring resource. The Riau Corruption Trial monitors corruption that affects officials that work in the forest industry in Riau Province. The team provide updates on the results of monitoring and posts them on riaucorruptiontrial.wordpress.com. I am interested in discrimination against minorities and human rights issues.
