Applying fellowship program agenda to Samoan online journalism development

Samoa Observer has been around since the mid 70s. Senior Reporter Jasmine Netzler who is one of the eleven journalists from Tonga, Samoa, Fiji, Papua New Guinea and the Solomon Islands attending the Asia Pacific Journalism Centre (APJC) Women, Media and Economic Literacy in the Pacific. The fellowship that runs for five weeks covers a range of issues including ; media women in leadership roles, self development, crunching down on the numbers in order to report accurately on the various financial and business issues, online media among other thing. Here she speaks about what she hopes to take back to Samoa after the extensively exciting training. The fellowship is funded by the AustraliaAid.
