I am so privileged be part of this Asia Pacific Journalism Centre Training program “Women, Media and Economic Literacy in the Pacific”. I think the best part of this program so far is the opportunity to get together with fellow journalists from other pacific island countries and share experiences, ideas and views. Learning from each other
The best part of the Asia Pacific Journalism Center Programs is learning from each other.
Fellow participants learn new skills and knowledge on women, media and economics and at the same time share ideas, views and experiences with each other. Here is the link
women to strive for leadership posts
Who can rescue women from the demise of this world. They are the most vulnerable group come wars, cyclones, broken homes, famine and so on.Women leaders are few in this planet but they may be the answer to saving the population of this planet earth with a balanced view of multi-tasking how to achieve a more humane world. So women go for parliaments..be in decision making bodies and provide the answers for us all.
Splashing Experience
Being part of the APJC Fellowship In Melbourne, Australia this month has been great. Exposure, skills and knowledge gained about blogging, twitting and how effective it is for journalists has finally struck. This has been an issue we never value back home but is mostly used by journos overseas. So the new idea will be certainly adopted when we return home. And the company of other Pacific Island journos has made our stay even more beautiful as we laugh, joke and share stories about the different experiences we face back home. And with our Canberra trip next week, everyone’s excited but the thought of the cold out in the capital is a fact we have yet to swallow. This experience will help me with my work as a reporter for the Fiji Times.
APJC Fellowship: Managing Conflict
To manage conflict is not always that easy, it takes all of ones confidence and time to be able to withstand and manage crisis.
During conflict we must be able to know when to talk and when to walk away.
Conflicts happen to occur when you intentionally choose for it to happen:deciding how you deal with different situations, see link

Meeting other journalists from around the region under one room and sharing journalism and cultural experiences is one of the highlights of attending the fellowship.
